So I’m back from Germany after having a blast at FIBO 2013 in Cologne, Germany. I love my Team Powerfit and Sexy Freak family! I did want to share some tips for sticking to a nutritious diet while you travel.
Tip # 1, find a place which serves healthy meals. Luckily at FIBO we found a spot which served some delicious smoked salmon. Salmon is great because it is high in protein and what we call the “good fats.”
I also feasted on some great grilled chicken at Champs in downtown Cologne. I had to make sure I was eating clean while sitting next to Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman and my Powerfit family!
Tip # 2, stay hydrated. This seems very basic but take my word for it if you don’t drink enough water you may pay for it in several ways. On the plane you may get bloated and then you may suffer constipation which is never fun! Haha!
Tip #3, don’t eat the airplane food or drink alcohol if you’re trying to stay fit.

It’s always tempting to have a drink on a plane especially if you’re a nervous flyer but one drink can easily lead to a second and then your diet is completely thrown out the window. And do I have to tell you how bad airplane food is! Have you looked at it? Gross!!
Finally, take lots of pictures! Whenever you travel you are making memories! I had so much fun at FIBO meeting so many people. Here I am cheesing it up with Andy Haman, one of the most recognizable men in the sport of bodybuilding.
Oh, I do have to say that Team Powerfit is the best! I’m so happy to be part of such a great team with my new friends Sergi, Nanna, Kimber, Eduardo, Jef and Milko! I even think I found my sista from another mista, Kimber!
